Medium Energy Kit (27 Cal/cm²)

This Kit contains: One Medium Energy Balaclava
(ARC-BALA-ME) and one Medium Energy
ArcGoggle
( 510-ARC-SN 38). Both tested under ASTM
F2178 together for an Arc Thermal Performance
Value (ATPV) of 27 Cal/cm².

Description

The Medium Energy ArcGoggle is designed to be
worn with the approved arc flash Balaclava that
is included in the kit. Both meet the electrical
arc flash hazard assessment requirements listed
in NFPA 70-E-2004.
The Balaclava is an open face design giving one
large port for the eyes making this comfortable
to the wearer. The Balaclava is a soft double
layer stretch Kevlar blend fabric and is to be
worn tucked into your PPE Arc Flash approved
shirt or jacket.

The ArcGoggle

Lens:

Optically correct dual layer lens. Outer
polycarbonate lens is hard coated and the inner
propionate lens is anti-fog treated. Tested to the
requirements of ASTM F2178.

Strap:

Black silicone strap is comfortable and
easily adjustable with gloves.

Frame:

Frame manufactured from silicone and
fits over most prescription safety and sun
protective spectacles. Outer blue bezel designed
with protective nose shield.

Specification:

to meet the performance specifications of NFPA
70E-2004 and ANSI Z87.1 Tested under ASTM
F2178.

BALA-ARC-KIT-ME has an Arc Rating (ATPV) of
27 Cal/cm²

Helmet and Accessory Compatibility:

Cap style and full brim safety helmets.

Silicone frame and strap.
Polycarbonate outer lens and a propionate inner
lens. Polymer alloy components.

Balaclava Material:

Double layer 55% Carbon
and 45% Kevlar.
