Alliance Suppliers, Inc offers you the very best in Arc Suppression blanket... Our blankets are to be used solely as additional protection for workers performing task in confined areas, under ground network and other areas where there could be cable defects where the network cannot be de-energized.

Your Electrical Arc Protection Blanket commonly referred to as an “Arc Suppression Blanket” has been developed and tested by Industrial Safety Engineers. It is believe there are the best available for its intended purpose. Electrical arc blast and explosion can be unpredictable and sometimes erratic the blanket is design to offer some protection. It does not offer total protection... It improves the chances of survivability in a life- threatening situation. They will reduce the risk of injury from direct arc blast and flame but have no effects from hazardous gas, sound or smoke. Your arc protection blanket is not an Electrical Insulator and should not be use as such.

Application Instructions:

Your Arc Suppression should be used for electrical flash containment and suppression only. Wrap the blanket loosely around the energized cable, splice or joint. Always cover duct to duct or wall to wall. When the application require more than one blanket, the over lap should be 12-18 inches.

Whenever there is an overlap or seam place it away from the work area... The blanket should be loosely wrap so that in the event of an electrical fault the blanket can have limited expansion and absorb the impact of the confined explosion. Should the blanket be wrapped too tightly around the splice or conductor it is more likely the blanket could rupture and cause injury to workers. Secure the blanket in place around the cable with ¼’ to ½” synthetic rope. Tie the rope loosely but securely around the blanket to allow for expansion should a fault occur. If the blanket is torn or damage in any way it should not be used.

Your arc suppression blanket may be commercially washed or dry cleaned. The recommended water temperature is 140 degree F... Chlorine bleach should not be used in washing your blanket... Allow the blanket to be thoroughly dry before it returns to storage.
