Switchboard matting is a dielectric rubber matting designed with electrical insulating properties. Its intent is to provide insulation to operators of electrical control centers, fuses boxes, switchgear, and other high voltage apparatus.

These mats are made from non-conductive compound and meet all optional requirements for ozone resistance, flame resistance and oil resistance.   Our switchboard matting is tested to ASTM D178/ ANSI J6.7. You will find the certification of all our mats engraved on the back.  We offer four classes of switchboard matting. Class I is 3/16"thick with corrugated surface, Class  II  is ¼" thick and is provided in both corrugated surface and a diamond pattern surface, Class III  is 3/8 " thick. And have a corrugated surface. Class IV is ½" thick with a corrugated surface. The color of our mats is black

We do offer two military specification of switchboard matting. Type II and Type III both types of mats conform to MIL SPEC. MIL-DTL-155626.  Type II mat has a dimension of 1/8" T x 36" W x 75' L The dimension of our Type II matting is 3/16" T x 36" W x 75” L.  This specification is approved for use by all interested Command of the Department of the Navy and the Marine Corps and is available for use by all other Departments and Agencies of the Department of defense. Both type mats has the same dielectric test voltage and recommended maximum use voltage. The 1/8 " Mil Spec mat has a smooth surface and is usually provided in black, blue or green color.   The 3/16 Mil Spec mat has a diamond pattern surface in gray color.

Corrugated Switchboard MattingCorrugated Switchboard Matting
  • A specially compounded non-conductive corrugated matting designed to help prevent electric shock around high voltage electrical equipment, such as fuse boxes, and control panels.
  • Now meets all optional requirements for Ozone Resistance, Flame Resistance, and Oil Resistance.
